Originally conceived as a Virtual Reality live music venue to showcase artists and deliver visceral, interactive live performances as a symbol of hope during a time when gathering for live music, events, and culture was banned during the early 2020s COVID lockdowns.

The Gig continues to operate within the live events and music industry, aiming to empower Artists, Entrepreneurs, and Practitioners, and to discover new ways for accessing skills and peer networks to make use of cutting-edge technology in the art form.

We provide services and training in music, live events, and technology to globally successful Artists and companies.

Training.

We strive to develop creative practitioners through the lens of projects and the entrepreneurial implementation of technical skills. Our “Education in Industry” peer mentoring for beginners, FE and HE programs are all delivered using the Clock System of Learning through digital credentials and SQA FE and HE certificates.

Production Services.

Live Events: Our events portfolio goes back 25 years and provides services to some of the biggest events in the world to a wide variety of globally successful artists and music industry-leading brands. While we specialise in live music, we have a wide network of suppliers and can provide design, hire, and production services for all types of live events across sound, light, video and special effects.

Tour Production Services: With 25 years of international touring experience at all levels, we have a particular interest in the support of grassroots projects, artists, bands, DJs and their management to build teams of like-minded creative practitioners and develop tech solutions at preferential rates.

Music Production Services: Recording. Mixing and Mastering services for bands and artists. Production services for singers and Sync projects. We have a large live room with 32 digital lines and 16 returns from the control room. And several pre/post writing suites are available for hire.

Content Creation Services: While we are primarily a music community, some of our members work extensively in the medium of video space.

Our Community: We are a community of professional creative partners who function as a peer mentoring community to support each other in our training, and help clients to realise live and content projects.

The currency upon which we trade is not necessarily based on cash value, so if you feel you can bring something of equal value to the community, we want to hear from you.
